LOL! One of the local stations made the statement we were supposed to receive 6 - 8 inches of snow and the current condition was "light snow".

Have they even looked outside? We've got about a foot and half of snow on the ground and it's been non-stop snowing for the past 12 hours or so. Can't they read Dopplar radar?

At least the major stations have been accurate for the most part.

When I lived in St. Louis I took me a Saturday afternoon nap one day, and it had just started what the radio was prediciting as flurries. I got up about 5 to two inches of snow on my patio, the radio was telling me we were going to get "up to three inches", while outside there was thunder and lightning during the snowstorm.

We got 28 inches. It took me five hours to dig my VW beetle out from where the National Guard had buried it when they finally got called out to dig us out from under the snow.
