I'm sure some of the webmasters here are eligible for conscription, if you get drafted into what may possibly be an upcoming war, what will you do with your business?

I'm a woman. I'm also too old to get drafted.
When the idiot enters us into WWIII, how do you think sales will be affected? Will it boost sales? Will it hinder sales? Who would your target market then become? Do you know the demographics of your members, traffic?

If WWWIII started I would think that most people would be staying in their homes much more so than now with the threat of terrorism, etc.......hence---more time to surf. Probably good for Internet Sales... Bad for Retail. (Unless you are an army surpluss store).

It'll get complicated. Without knowing the age distributions of your customers, and the number of draftees, as well as mass psychology and behaviour in time of crisis, predictions are hard to cum by.
Who is buying your products? Young males that were drafted recently ?
Who will find it difficult to find a mate? Should you recycle yourself into the 4-her market ?
Will people fear going out and remain inside?
Will the impending climate of doom make people more pleasure- inclined and thus, have them reduce their consumption of virtual sex because it is easier to get the real thing?
I mean, if it were announced to the population that doomsday would come in 37 days, do you think they's spend their time subscribing to web sites or get to fuck all of their street's neighboors ? Methink sales would plummet.
Of course, we're not at Armagedon Day minus five weeks yet. Hopefully.

I think people would still be beating off while the bombs were dropping... maybe even more furiously.
It possible for me to get called back up, I'm still in the national guard for 1 1/2 years but as inactive. I would definitely try anything to get out of it. I hated the military when I was in it and sure I still would if I had to go back!

well there won't be another draft, so it's pretty much a moot point.
and Luke if you're IRR (inactive ready reserve) you're safe.
makes me wish i was still in.
Kill em all, let God sort 'em out.

Although I can't be drafted, if I could and were I'd just let the wifie take over....she's been helping me out for awhile now anyway.

There is about as much chance of a draft being enacted as there is of Osama bin Laden being photographed in a 3some with John Ashcroft and Tom Ridge. The military wants draftees just a little less than we want chargebacks.
About the only thing the draft would do is be the biggest and best recruiting tool the peace movement has gotten since 1973. It would be kind of funny to see how many motormouth "we gotta go kick some ass" pups would begin to sing a very different tune as soon as "we" became a lot more inclusive.

Welll....
There is little chance of that happening. We have the largest standing volunteer army in the world. It would have to be a very long, very hard war to take out enough volunteer armymen to require a draft....
That, and I'm a girl, so i dont really have to worry about it hehehe

You'd have to have a pretty rare MOS to get called back up, that's for sure. I have heard that they are, however, offering some recent retirees the option of going back active.

actually small business owners wouldnt be drafted. they are a crucial part of the economy and would not be called upon to fight in the war.

If it's anything like the Gulf War, signups will probably suck the big one for sure. People will be spending all their time switching between the newschannels instead of surfing for porn. :(
If it does get bad enough for a draft it'll already be way too late for Dubya to save his ass and there will probably be a lot of dead Arabs and Americans etc. Even with very basic basic training it still takes 6 weeks to get a soldier out of bootcamp. And in this day and age that's probably not long enough to train him to handle any of the high tech shit. So by then it would be too damn late.
