The credibility of Martin Bashir!

Did journalist Martin Bashir tell it like it is or did he betray Michael Jackson’s trust in a misleading TV special?

I just watched "THE MICHAEL JACKSON INTERVIEW: THE FOOTAGE YOU WERE NEVER MEANT TO SEE ".

And I must say I am shocked! I think that Bashir lost all his credibility (if he had any to start with). I hated the interview he did with Michael and thought it was unfair! Isn't a journalist suppose to be impartial?!?

i didn't see the interview (if you can call it such)
All I can base my opinion on is what people say... And I heard alot say that...
Because there is so much contraversy around it and the fact that its supposed to "shock" me - made it clear to me I'll NEVER watch it.
I guess its yellow tabloid peeping material lacking value that the main reason people watch it is curiousity. I don't fall for that trap.

I agree with you in principal. Interviewer must be impartial atleast at the time of the interview. Any manipulation steming from personal opininon is negative and hurts the value of the article.

I think it's probably an insult to journalists to put this guy in the same league as them. Of course I don't really think there is such a thing as a "real" journalist anymore. Yet another reason that I don't watch television.
