hi dudes!

this is for ur mental safety and a tip, don't install zaSetup_37_098.exe, zone alarm's free lastest update, it hung up my whole windows and no program could execute, like it takes 100% of system resources and so on, i uninstalled it and had back up the old version i had. this might not apply to ur situation, but be aware that it can happen

laterS

I gave up on those guys many versions ago. Right after they moved up to version 3 my system started slowing down dramatically. The code is getting way too bloated and they don't optimise it properly before releasing. I've been way happier since moving to Norton.

I loved norton, until I changed from millenium to W2000. then norton fucked it all up... I was sweating when trying Zone alarms out.. read a lot. Cnet gave it the best firewall, so I tried it. seems to be working well.

Fortunately.. I didnt install that last update yet.. :)

Hmmm, the best firewalls are hardware firewalls... I don't trust that software solutions....
Got a firewall in my router... it's nice but I just needed to know first what ports I have to open!

Thanks for the advise. I was going to check for updates this weekend.

Sounds like you saved me a whole weekend of work!
