A few come to mind immediately. Led Zeppelin, The Beatles, Rolling Stones, ACDC. You can't deny the longevity of the popularity of those bands and all were groundbreaking.

I have a few personal favourites from my time which include: Pearl Jam, Stone Temple Pilots, Weezer, ACDC.

I love most music so it's hard to say but a few that I can never get tired of listening to are Black Sabbath, Led Zepplin and Jimi Hendrix. On the classical end I can never get tired of Vivaldi's Four Seasons.

The greatest band ever is definitely QUEEN !Nice. Queen does get over-looked too often. They were indeed an awesome rock band with a lot of versatility.

Wow, some horrible answers here LOL.

Probably the Rolling Stones. If they didn't have their longevity, then it would be the Beatles.

The best concert I ever saw was The Eagles. They were AMAZING live... most fun I ever had at a concert was The Grateful Dead with the Steve Miller Band as the openign act at Soldier Field in Chicago.

Oh.. and the band I most wish I had seen live in concert is Bob Seger and the Silver Bullet Band especially their Nine Tonight (http://www.google.com/musicl?lid=CYlrq6RX4HK&aid=BABRuXYUbyI&sa=X&oi=music&ct=result) tour which to me is the greatest album of all time.

The Beatles, Rolling Stones for sure - but I also have a soft heart for Emerson, Lake and Palmer, but the Beatles changed the face of music and even the way it is created and recorded - they simply have had more influence overall
