Who in your opinion (living or dead) is the best guitar player of all time?

There are a lot of awesome names out there, but my personal choice would be Stevie Ray Vaughn. I discovered his music when he released his first album (actually, I bought the cassette!) way back in 1983 or so.

Every song on it still blows me away to this date.

Eddie Van Halen

There is no denying that his solos were untouchable. Some of the most difficult guitar playing out there.

I never knew about Charro, need to check that out!

I would say Jimmy Page and Randy Rhodes need to be added to this list as well.

OOoooh, that's a tough one, and it's hard to do since it's not broken down by category, but ad Tuck Andress to the list, and if you've never heard him - google the name and listen...INCREDIBLE jazz guitarist.

This is really a tough call, Kirk Hammet is up there, Stevie Ray, Bo, Jonny Lang. If I don't stop here, I'll go on and on.

Prince lives in Toronto?

Somehow that doesn't surprise me that much. I know that the Rolling Stones have at least one house in or near the Toronto area that they visit every year. Seems the media know where they live, and they do respect their privacy as well.

I remember The Who performing their "last" concert in Toronto in 1982. They said that Toronto was always their favourite place to play.

Yeah he does but I didn't know about the Rolling Stones havign a house there too.

A friend of mine went to a stones concert a few years back and he knew someone that got him invited to a private party at prince's house.

He said it was pretty much Prince the Stones and the rest of the people were non famous people that were there.

So maybe they live right next door to each other.

He married a TO chicca..which probably had the most to do with living here. He lives in the "Bridal Path" with the mega rich.

Summer time is the best time to come.

Usually he has what he calls a "Session" or "Jam session" every wednesday, friday and saturday night.

It's CRAZY!!

Once, he kicked all the guys out and performed for the ladies only. My girl at the time found herself in the car with me lol.

I was there when he recorded the Love41another mini movie for VH1 artist of the month. It was cool seeing Dave Chappelle before he was Dave Chappelle. Awesome seeing Nona Gaye live in person.

Once when I was there, he had a cover charge and at 1am the sheriffs and other chanhanssen police were there forcing everyone to leave, he said "Fuck it, I'm going to get a 25k fine, might as well rock it" and jammed for bout half hour longer. Finally when the law couldn't handle it, he started playing the "Na, na, na, na, hey, hey, hey, goodbye" song as we were leaving.

Then once there was this guy who was up front trying to clown prince as he was playing gutar. Price calls him out and says "hey you think you can do better? some one bring this guy a gutair" and prince invited him on the stage. Prince called the guy "tattoo" He got up there and challenged prince. Prince didn't rip him a new one too bad. He was actually cool about it.
