What makes you choose to promote a site?

I've asked this on a few boards, and I've gotten some great answers..but I really wanna know what you guys here think.

Is it what the banners and sponsor content is like? Is is the tour? Is it the stats?

What makes you turn and run away?

And what does everyone do,but you don't care about?
