added you... I might suggest you look at AIM too since from what I found most industry people use either aim or icq (or simply pass messages along written on WWC-DonMike's briefs)

I love MSN actually. At least I've never gotten spammed on it.

I'm using MSN with my ICQ now. I just find that MSN is a lot more stable, but it doesn't do all the neat tricks ICQ is capable of.

I use MSN and ICQ, both works pretty good. I like MSN... But I find ICQ easier to use with more options.. :-)

On all three platforms, I've been using GAIM and doing away with the individual installs. It allows me to communicate with several protocols (AIM, ICQ, Jabber, Yahoo, etc) all from one program, including IRC. You can get it at gaim.sourceforge.net

I like all the little things MSN does that ICQ doesn't too. :) I am one of those annoying people who has a new MSN name every day.

i think AIM works better than MSN Messenger...cause most of the time msn messenger is down.

I tried Trillian. Gave it a full week to see if I liked it or not.
I reverted back to ICQ because I just felt I didn't have control over it.

yes. i love trillian, but sometimes it won't connect to one of the services and i have to use the "real" software to connect to it.

Nothing like getting "spimmed." especially when you're in the office, with 100 other things to tend to. :]

i tried using trillian before but i didn't find it that comfortable to use plus i don't want to lose every contact i have if trillian gets screwed up.;)

I use ICQ (which I despise) AIM, MSN and Yahoo (which is my personal favorite.) I suppose it depends on which one you cut your teeth on. I don't like MSN much either, but I use it. I still haven't gotten around to trying Trillian yet, but I suppose I might.

i use trillian. even when you add contacts with trillian it still adds them to your real IM program. no contact lists are stored locally. when i re-format my drives and reinstall AIM, Yahoo, ICQ and MSN, my contacts are still there since the lists are stored on their servers. i tend to add contacts with the actual program rather than trillian cause trillian can screw with your lists a bit if you are not careful.
