Seems some players didn't swallow that salary cap.

I think it was inevitable that one of them resign, either Goodenow or Bettman. Depending on who came out on top after the lockout.

I thought they were going to wait for the start of the season before he left, especially since he just announced that "he had no plans of leaving" just a week ago. Wel maybe HE didn't, but the NHLPA did!

Shall we start a pool as to when Mr. Bettman will anounce his own departure ?

I give him one full season at the job. Just so he can leave saying Mission acomplished.

Bettman's going to stay man, the CBA totally went in his favour and he had helped the owners to get ready for the lockout by having them put a % aside for this eventuality. As much as I hate Bettman, I think he totally kicked ass in this CBA. As a fan I'm pissed that I lost a season, but I blame the players association much more than the owners.
