The poor little guy! I feel itchy just thinking of the little guy. LOL!

Time for an oatmeal bath and calamine lotion.

Oh I bet he feels horrible!

The only thing you can do is try to make him comfortable until his immune system fights it off.

It will leave scars if he scratches too badly at them.

Aww, I remember having them. Look at the bright side, at least it's now and not when he's older. It would totally suck to have chicken pox as an adult.

I got them when I was 6 years old. I can still hear my mother yelling at me not to scratch. LOL!

You'll just have to do like the mom did to the kid on that spray stuff they advertise for taking the itch out of insect bites, poison, and stuff like that. The commercial where the mom duct tapes oven mittens to the boys hands so he can't scratch.

That would suck as an adult. Apparently, it can be pretty serious in an adult versus if you've had them as child.

I've also read something before about how the chicken pox virus is related to the shingles virus that people can develop later in life. It's something related to not having chicken pox as a child, but the virus is dormant in the system and then it unleashes in some people when they hit their senior years. I can't remember exactly though.

I know oatmeal works really well too. It's good for his skin as well. LOL! Not that he needs to be concerned about that at his age. LOL! ;)

I've been using Aveeno oatmeal bath powder and Calamine lotion it's been working wonders...Scarring usually occurs when picked or scratched. I keep a close eye on him and I'll make sure he stays out of the sun until he's clear. :)

He's a real trooper, I got to say I'm VERY impressed he's tough! I am however worried about Chris as he hasn't gotten the pox yet...Let's hope he doesn't catch it now...;)

Not to sound cruel, but I love how cuddly Ryan is when he's feeling under the weather...He's such a cuddle bear! :luv: He follows me around everywhere!!!

Awe... He loves his mommy... Moms are softer and more cuddly than dads. LOL! I'm sure Buddy is clinging to him. He's probably looking at Ryan wondering why he's got all that pink crap on him.

I managed to give them to my little brother who was only about 6 months old at the time but that just means he shouldnt get them again and doesnt remember so he better be thankful...lol... Your gonna wanna keep chris as far away as you can cause its VERY easy to pass it on. Its also good to get them when your young because the less hair you have on your body the better. The ones that come up with hairs in them can be painful as apposed to itching. Not sure why, I guess maybe the hair pulls on it from the inside or something.

I havent heard that before, I have always been told that as long as you get a pretty bad case of them you wont get it again. Now if its mild and doesnt last long then yea its a very very good chance of getting them again. Lets hope he doesnt have to go through that.

mine reoccured after 17 years. i had my first chicken pox when i was 11, then had it again when i was 28 the experts call it Herpes Zoster or Shinggles (it's not the Herpes that you think, i freaked out too at first :bonk: ). damn i so fucking hate the feeling. it's hurts even more... and the medicines are very expensive.

the doctor says it'll only show up in one derma line or only a prticular part of your body. mine's at the back. it left marks. :(

here's a review for you: http://www.nlm.nih.gov/medlineplus/ency/article/000858.htm

I don't remember what age I was but I want to say around 5 or 6. It was Christmas time. The local fire station would have one of the firefighters dress up like Santa Claus and ride on top of the fire engine while they rode around the neighborhood and handed out presents to the kids. And I remember standing at the window watching them come around but being really sad that I couldn't go outside and sit on Santa's lap. :(

And that's how I grew up hating Santa and all he stood for and once I got my super villian powers I knew it was time to head right for the North Pole and show fatboy the power of my wrath. Bwahahahaha!!!!!

Okay, that last part is totally made up...

I only use my supervillan powers for good. And me and Santa... we're tight. :bonk:

(I hope this cheered you up, FB. Everyone else here's gonna think I'm nuts after this)

I dont think its airborne but hell Im usually wrong. The real problem with passing it along is when you live with someone who hasnt had it its pretty much impossible to stay away from them to the degree that you have to to not catch it. From what I remember its fairly easy to pick it up simply by sitting in a chair after someone who is infected has sat in it. Again, this is all from what I can remember. I may have been 15 but I managed to drug myself up pretty good so I spent that time in a haze...LOLOL
