Check out this guy's explanation for why things are happening the way they are on the island.

It's a good read.

Lost is better than normal married sex, but not as good as makeup sex.

Watch for the numbers popping up in all the episodes in hidden ways. Also, when they do the flashbacks, watch for other Lost characters. Most of the time you will see them get tied in or show up somehow.

For example, when Kate goes to visit her dad at the recruitment office, Sayad is on the TV in the background being arrested.

And of course Jack being the doctor who saves his wife and lets Shannon's father die. (he was the driver of the SUV that the chick hit)

Am I the only person on the adult 'net who's never seen this show? Sometimes I think so. I've never seen "Survivor" or all the other reality shows, either.

I think I'm dancing to the beat of a different drum....

Morgan,
Lost isn't a reality show. It's a classic cliffhanger show that keeps you wanting more at the end of every single episode. I'm sure that if you went out and got the DVD set of season one, you would watch them one after the other until you were too tired to stay awake.

I can't think of another show that is as thought provoking. I highly recommend you check it out.

*grumble, grumble, grumble*

The above grousing is because I value your opinion and think I just added an item to my "will buy" list. Maybe I'll wait for an "occasion" and request it as a gift. :)

I do know that "Lost" has some die-hard fans, including some Brits who are a season behind the Left Side nations. I knew it wasn't a reality show, but there are some webmasters who are hooked on reality shows as well, so I sort of lumped them all together. Cliffhangers drive me absolutely nuts, so your advice to get the DVDs and have a "film festival" would probably be less stress on the old nervous system. (I never forgave the network that canceled "Alien Nation," when the season ended with a literally explosive cliffhanger...thus preventing anyone from knowing who, if anyone, survived. They made a movie or two after that, but I'd lost interest by then.)

To hear a television show described as "thought provoking" isn't something that happens often. ::-|

I enjoyed reading about the flashbacks and looking for other "Lost" characters. It reminded me of a "real life" coincidence that dropped jaws in my own personal kitchen. While sorting and packing, I came across the paperwork for a minor fender-bender accident my husband was in years ago. I actually gaped at the name of the other driver that was listed on the form.

It was our new primary care physician. ::-|

Since the man's first name is Yaraslov and his last name is equally jaw-breaking, it's barely possible that there are two of them, but only barely.

Wow. Cosmic.

I love Lost, watching it is a must in this house. I noticed alot of the little things in the flashbacks. Honestly almost every second of the show is filled with tie ins to each other and hidden hints as to what is really going on, you just have to find them.

Anyone else think maybe the numbers are a phone number?

Don Soporno

Also, the numbers 4, 8, 15, 16, 23, 42 add up to 108...which is how often they have to re-enter the numbers

Lost game lets fans hunt for clues

Well the show is upping it a notch with an interactive game.
This should prove to be interesting.

Hmm.. interesting to be sure...

I love this show.. it keeps you on your toes all the time. I'm bummed to see Michael back cause he annoyed the shit out of me though. Seems there is always one or two characters who are supposed to be good guys or sympathetic charcters that I desperately want to see die a horrible death on a show like these. On 24 in the first season it was Jack Bauer's wife and daughter. Kept cheering for the bad guys to kill em both and was SOOOOO happy when his wife got offed. (Still waiting on the daughter!! :( ) and on this seaon's 24 it's President Logan's wife. I just want him to take a gun and put a bullet between her eyes cause her shrieking is so damn annoying. Wel... in Lost we have Michael. The guy is an annoying fuck who's ass should have been kicked twenty times over for being so annoying. I feel sorry for Walt being saddled with such a pain in the ass annoying father! LOL

TE...I'm hoping for the First Lady to kill *him* and in a slow, ugly way. I would like to have a sit-down with the writers, though. First...they write an absolutely spinelss wussy character last season. Then.... That is SO not working for me.

< possible spoiler for TIVO and DVR users >

I grieve for the Secret Service dude she had the warms for. And he for her. :(

< /end spoiler alert>

I put that in because I'm usually days behind watching my shows, because of my husband's horrendous work/school schedule and we watch everything together.

On an unrelated note...could "The Sopranos" possibly suck more this season? I want them all dead.

ok great episode tonight. I could do with a bit less of the Hurley love interest though.

I have no idea why or what the last 5 minutes of the show was. It would appear that Michael is brainwashed or something?

There was something strange that appeared in the form of a 15 second "commercial" about 10 minutes before the episode ended. It was solicitation from The Hanso Foundation. The URL below wasn't part of the commercial, I had actually found it earlier today. But it did have a phone number on it to call (for what reason I don't know). The number is 1-877-HANSORG. I tried it, but got a busy signal.

Last night was a "HOLY SHIT!!!" moment!!! I totally thought he was gonna go in and place the gun at the guys head and try and ask about Walt... looks like they are going on a killing spree for the end of the season.. :>))

EC...

I bet that commercial and website are a part of the tie-ins they are doing for that game that was talkked abotu before. I posted on Oprano a whiole back they were inserting clues into commercials in may and forgot about it until you mentioned the odd commercial and website....

I shit my pants and gasped so loud my cats took off!!!

As far as the killing spree...this is what I think!!!

Michael has come back, but he was gone for way too long, don't you think for him just to come back and say hey yeah they are not well armed we can take them.....whatever dood!!

He was brain washed!!! Sent back to give them that bullshit story, to rescue the guy they captured so he can get Walt back, but they are not going to give him back and Michael will end up more insane than he is!!!

But since the end of the season is coming near, with a show like this I have to be honest and tell you I get right pissed off when they show a new episode and leave you hanging then play re-runs or catch-up shows for the next month....

Just play the damn show and tell me what happens, but I swear if this is all a dream of Hurley's I will be double pissed!!!

Yeah, I nearly shit my pants during the last few minutes of Wednesday's episode. The producer has confirmed that Ana-Lucia is dead, but I'm hoping Libby survives. Saw Michael in the preview for next week with his arm bandaged up. Guessing Henry Gale will be gone when Jack and the others get back to the hatch.
The dates for the next 3 episodes are:
May 10 S2 E21: "?"
May 17 S2 E22: "Three Minutes"
May 24 TWO HOUR SEASON FINALE

Can't fucking wait!

TheEnforcer
05-05-2006, 12:42 PM
I don't think Michael knew about the "other" beforehand as he seemed genuinely surprised by them having captured one of them. It seemed that his shooting Ana Lucia was borne out fo that surprise. That's the vibe I got there.

TheEnforcer

I'll certainly check that out Chris!!

I just don't understand why they would kill off A.L.
I mean, they just did another flashback show on her.

And to be honest, I'm not looking forward to the season finale so much. It's going to be a cliff-hanger that will drive us nuts until the Fall season starts again!!

TheEnforcer
05-05-2006, 07:17 PM
Hahaha.. cliff hangers are both great and very annoying at the same time. They can really create buzz and anticipation for next season.

Evil Chris
05-05-2006, 11:57 PM
yeah well... it's what we really want isn't it? LOL

It's turning out to be an awesome finale.

The fun part is that the kid who falls into the had was played the kid who played Bobby Brady in the Brady Bunch.
