This is an invitation to all Hotmovies users, and studios. Please help us support the Free Speech Coalition (FSC) by joining us for an important one-day event on April 18 of this year: FreedomStreams '06. HotMovies is teaming up with the Free Speech Coalition for this special one-day program to raise money to cover litigation costs for the ongoing fight to protect you against the Government's prosecution of adult entertainment producers under 18 USC 2257.
FSC is the only national trade organization working every day for the benefit of the adult entertainment industry. It has filed suit on behalf of all of us, resulting in a Temporary Restraining Order (TRO) being issued by the U.S. District Court. This TRO prevents the Government from prosecuting FSC members under 2257. The case continues on appeal. Additional funds are needed to continue this tremendously important battle.
Studios are encouraged to voluntarily participate in this event by simply donating their daylong proceeds to FSC. Users are urged to use those studios. HotMovies will match all donations dollar for dollar.
This fight affects the industry as a whole.
