I've been watching the ceremonies this morning, and it's quite touching.
It's still very hard to believe that all of this happened in our day and age.

I didn't get to see any ceremonies this morning. I slept late and came right into work. I'm guessing there will be some things on tonight that I can catch though.

Luke, it's still on every channel. Some amazing stories.
I like the ones they're showing now that plot the paths of the airplanes and the recorded messages from other pilots and ATC. It gives you a bizarre feeling.

I'll have to go round up a little tv that I can put on my desk so I can check it out.

I see http://www.yahoo.com all grey in remembrance of 9/11.

Anyone see any other sites that did something like this?

Well I, for one, am not going to be able to watch much television today. Just can't seem to go through that again... So I'll remember it happened--without the touching reminders of all of those who are not longer with us. **sniff, sniff**

Happy Peaceful Huggs to All today!!!

Yes indeed... some of it was quite touching. We had the TV on in the background all day today and some of it really tugged on the heartstrings. I just hope nothing like this ever happens again in any country in the world.

My poor 11-year-old daughter is now crying because she's had to see yet another tribute on tv, between cartoons. She said, "If they want us to get over it, why do they keep playing it over & over & over again all day?"

I do feel for everyone, there's no question it's probably the greatest tragedy of our time; but the kid's got a point... it's difficult to move on and get back to normal when we're being inundated with images that bring back the raw horror of the day as if it just happened right now?

Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected (which is damned near the entire population of the non-fundamentalist-muslim world), and our sincere and heartfelt thanks go out to all of the heroes who rose to the challenge, and who're at this moment on duty defending us against people who hate us for the very things that make us great.

With any luck at all, by next year we'll be celebrating our victory over them; so while we're gathering to mourn our fallen brothers and sisters, we will also be doing a little dance and sending the animals responsible on a quick trip to an eternity in Hell where they belong.
