I was wondering... I see so many good and bad sites out there... I was wondering how important web design is in this business?

How important is it for different categories as well?

I would really like to know what you think...

Sophie.

I've done ugly for the se's and pretty for the ll's, I always made more money from ugly sites... mainly because they were crammed with banners and blind links....

I personally believe traffic and content are more important and also navigation. If a surfer wants what you have to offer and you make it simple for him to get it, you will convert better. Pretty designs are great but they don't always make the difference between a sale or no sale. As long as your site seems legit, that is what matters.

I think its ease of use, doesn't matter the design. because even with new technology out there and web 2.0 theres still sites making big bucks with "bad" looking sites.
