I don't know the deal with all these community sites .. I'm a member and collecting "friends" pretty fast .. hoping that maybe someday something wil come out of it ... But so far nothing .. i've been getting a shit load of traffic off sites like Myspace, but it doesn't convert. Anyhow if someone knows how to make these community sites to work for them can you let me know ???

I'm on facebook. As for the converting etc, I really wouldn't know but with your exposure with webdreams I know you made a group for webdreams.. but you should also make a fan club for yourself on there where you can keep people up to date with what you're doing and your websites and see what comes of it.

Also if you can somehow figure out how to make a useful application that relates to Adult, Then you can put links to your own sites on that main page of the app and you can guarantee that it's being seen by everyone who accepts the application which is alot.

For instance make a "Favorite Pornstar application" that displays a pic that they can upload (if it's not already in the app) of there Favorite pornstar/webgirl (upload all of the girls on your own sites with links when they click the pictures) etc. Then you have a little system of small marketing that will be flooded around by the users without much upkeep after you make the application. That's atleast my idea that I really have no idea how to do so I give it to anyone of you who can pull it off. Just make sure the pics show no nudity and it should be alright.

Speaking of Webdreams, did anyone make any money out of that?
No one I know ever made anything. My personal opinion is that giving free talent so someone else can make a buck doesn't make sense. The sound recordist made more money than the talent.

My best friend (Angéliquexxx.com) was on Webdreams 2.0 (and me too in two episodes! hihi) and she says she doesn't see any real difference but her site was doing well to start with so...

I also spoke with Violet Manson (oh so gorgeous, amazing in person!) and she made a good point... She said that if the show airs for as long as the first series does, hopefully, in the long run, it will make a difference... People will get attached to the caracters and join...

Gala Films and Showcase (alliance atlantis) did. From what I was told the series cost a little over a million to produce ... and Season 2 was sold to over 9 countries for second window. It's got higher ratings the Season 1 fr the same time slot (season 1 was number 1 on the friday night line up for showcase) so i m pretty sure someone is makig money off the series .. but none of the characters.

From what I understand, Showcase's guideline for a reality show is that none of the participants are paid actors.
over thecourse of 2 years of filming I was able ot get the production company to pay for flights, hotels ..etc but never anything monitery ...

Oh and we all got these cotton American Apperal vests ..

These guys came trolling the boards and I advised everyone to give them a miss. They claimed that no "reality" show paid money. Like "Survivor". When I pointed out that everyone on survivor got paid, they went mute. They also claimed it was a documentary, so no talent should get paid. i pointed out that it was an entertainment series and they argued. But it was. They claimed great exposure would boost web site sales. When I asked their numbers and markets, they demurred. Basically it was a wank. if they ever troll the boards again, everyone should tell them to take a hike. They stuffed all the talent and they all made out like bandits. No one did their research and due diligence. If they had, it would have been clearly obvious, this was just a local show, with poor numbers sucking off the government tax credit tit. I have been on the other end of those cameras most of my life and I was always amazed at how easy it was to get people to perform for free. Go figure.

exactly ... The show aired on april 6th 2007,and recieved very favourable ratings for a premeire in april. (I keep close contact with the shows excecutive producers) and so was a season that aired into the summer, Not a good time of year for ratings and views. The season has played twice, the last episode being last friday. Yesterda was the first episode of the thrid run which will air till christmas. A much better tv season.

In my opinion we will see or feel (the characters) the strenth of popularity in dec and jan.

Don't hold your breath. Unless you were guaranteed product placement, which no one was, I will bet you will not see a dime in extra revenue.

BTW these musings have not been meant to disrespect the talent, if anyone should get the wrong idea, but entirely to point out that the production company is ripping off porn people and still collecting oodles in our tax dollars. Sucking off the government tit, as it were.

Yeh it does put some relationships to the test, my brother had a spout with his wife over a old girlfriend of his on facebook.. but I suppose it only effects the relationship if its already strained.

lol .. care to explain?

Sure :).

MySpace has proven how dumb people can be in posting personal information about themselves and their life. It has ruined many people's lives, both personally and financially due to stupidity. Not to mention the little 'emo circles' that developed because of it.

Facebook ruins relationships because when your broad comes up and asks "Why is your ex-gf adding you as a friend", its pretty much over.
