The President's Cup (http://www.pgatour.com/tournaments/presidentscup/) starts today in Montreal. There are traffic control officers literally everywhere in my neighbourhood today, and it will be like that up until the end of the tournament on Sunday.

It's strange to see so much activity in our little borough (http://maps.google.com/?ie=UTF8&ll=45.49612,-73.901081&spn=0.029781,0.083685&t=k&z=14&om=1), which is usually so reserved and quiet. I think I am going to attend today's practice rounds and take a few photos. No cameras or cell phones are allowed on the grounds once the actual tournament play begins.

Wow, do you live on a golf course?
That's alotta hoopla for a golf tourney.
I used to live near where they held the Honda Classic in SoFla and we never wer really affected by it.

We don't live on the course itself, but our borough is definitely golf oriented.
It's a small island community with 90 holes of golf among 3 distinct clubs, two of which are private, one is semi-private. The Royal Montreal Golf Club is the oldest established club in North America, and that is where the President's Cup is being held this year, on the blue course.

Damn...

Mother Nature doesn't seem to be cooperating this morning.
I hope things clear up for the opening ceremonies and start of tournament play this afternoon.

Tiger is on a roll as we all know.

By the way, have any of you guys seen Jonathon from Python golf?

The kid ia a phenom! Truly a pro in the making!

I have a feeling Veejay and Wier are gonna give the Americans a run for their money.

Enjoy Evil C.

Will be a great few days!

Play wrapped up today after 6 days of great golf in the Montreal area. I was fortunate enough to attend a few days of it including the final today. The American team retained the President's Cup despite some formidable play by the Internationals in singles play today.

We were camped out at the 16th green all day and saw some really good dramatic golf pairings.

When Mike drained that birdie putt on 17, the crowd was absolutely crazy.

We are lucky here. I pay $700NZ a year and get to play all year round. at least two games a weak. I can play one of the top links courses in the world down the road for $35. Sometimes we get it for free it penants is being played on our course although I am normally playing in the penants.

Tiger is awesome. Lots of good young Aussies.

Was Aaron Baddeley not there??
Very surprising. He is a great matchplay exponent.

I saw some of the highlights on television this morning. It looks like it was a very exciting event for Canada even though the USA team won. Nice pictures Chris.
