As most of you know I've joined the dark side....I also work for a Mortgage Firm in an office with people (so weird after all these years working remote and attending shows) the people I work with are cool, but it's so different than "our" industry....Everything is "too normal" lol :laughout:
Anybody else here have a "normal" job outside of the adult industry? How do you manage both? I get confused with Stephanie and Funbrunette...lol I find I have to be "tame" I'm so use to being myself and saying whatever is on my mind...PLEASE tell me it gets better.

It does make sense you are beautiful smart and you like sex :laughout: They probably feel intimidated by your strong presence. You like the job?

I don't imagine it will get better. Personally, I know I will never have another job. I guess the question is why do you have a real world job if you don't want it? And if you do feel the need for another job, why do something so "normal"?

I don't recall saying I didn't want that job...The bottom line is I don't want to travel anymore and my focus is my family (my 4 year old son) I'm not completely leaving the industry (I do own this board) but I find working normal hours 9-5 is going to be good for me in the long run. The transition is just a little difficult.
Casa of course I'll help you with your first mortgage! :)

I went through the same thing when I started my current gig. I can say with some authority that no, it doesn't really get any better, but that you will get acclimated to it, like most anything else.
I get the feeling you will be shaking up the ol' mortgage office! Good luck with it!

This is interesting. My real world job, I would travel months on end. I was always on the road and I loved it. But it did start to take its toll. This job, I can live where I choose, travel when I feel like it, and spend more time around the house than I ever have in my life. I thought that was the charm of porn. Why do you have to travel a lot in the porn business? There are only a handful of conventions in a year.
