New XO laptop for $200!

In November, you’ll be able to buy a new laptop that’s spillproof, rainproof, dustproof and drop-proof. It’s fanless, it’s silent and it weighs 3.2 pounds. One battery charge will power six hours of heavy activity, or 24 hours of reading. The laptop has a built-in video camera, microphone, memory-card slot, graphics tablet, game-pad controllers and a screen that rotates into a tablet configuration.

And this laptop will cost $200.

very cool .. fun for kids ... and wil help childern all over the world whom would otherwise never have access to a computer the chance to advance with the rest of the world ..

It's even better than that actually.

The laptop has a handcrank and 1 minute of "winding" powers it for nearly an hour I believe. 60 minutes did a story on it a while back.

They are selling them to poor countries for $100 each. They are selling them in rich contries for $200 each because every one you buy will also fund a free one for a poor child in some 3rd world country.
