My old coffee machine died late last year, and I decided to go big and by a brand new one. This machine is as "pro" as it gets for home use. the Bigger models are more suitable for coffee shops and restaurants.

Coffee is something I love, and taking this big step and getting a pro machine, and the whole "coffee culture" it forced me in to - has truly enriched my life. Not only is the coffee SO MUCH BETTER than before, but its also very rewarding to grind the coffee beans, filling the cup filter holder, pressing the coffee and packing it - putting it into the machine and then pushing the lever up and watching that black gold come out.

The espresso is strong, full and rich in taste. Amazing. And if I feel like I want to make thick and nice milk/cream - I fill up a can with barista milk - pressurize the machine and place the can under the steam nozzle.

My cappucinos and lattes rock! ;-)

And I just realize by reading this post that Im a coffee freak, hehe. This is almost coffee porn. :-)
But man, this is the best thing I bought in the last 2 years that truly made my life better. Since coffee is something I love, and enjoy daily - making each and every cup the absolute best it can be has made the whole experience so much better.

Check out the pic.. :-)

So. what is the best thing you bought the last year or so that really made a diffirence in your life?

Mine will be a new microwave that I buy when I come back to Canada after this mini break. About 2 days before I left to go back to the States for my grandma's funeral, the microwave died. I thought, "No big deal" and I'll just go get one when I come back home. One less thing to do before my trip. My BF was leaving anyway for a bit while I was gone so I figured it could wait until I get home. Big mistake. My BF was lost. He makes like 10 cups of coffee at once and drinks them all throughout the day. Well, of course with a dead microwave, he can't reheat his coffee and this set his whole routine off. I can't stand him when he doesn't have coffee, (at least until he's on cup #2 of the morning. I'm not a morning person either), and instant coffee isn't an option, so I heard the random complaints about a dead microwave. So yeah, when my flight lands, I'm dropping my luggage at home and we are going out to buy the microwave. Then all is good and things can get back to normal! LOL!

I can't blame it all on him though because I do use the microwave too. It's just before I left, microwave shopping wasn't a top priority. lol!

Well it sounds weird but I guess it's out new TV.
Funbrunette and I like our TV programs, and I had been holding on to an old television, but it finally gave out and we went and bought ourselves a kickass new LCD. Hockey games in HD are amazing.
