I came across this article (http://www.salon.com/mwt/broadsheet/2008/07/01/porn/) today and it brought up a few points:

Increasing number of women actually like porn.

The "by-product of the rise of porn star as the new 'it' female profession."
"Popular culture promotes the wild fun and whimsy of the girl who loves pornography." - This means that women with a predilection for pornography do not actually experience sexual satisfaction from watching it, but rather from attracting men by announcing that they are one of those X-rated "wild fun" girls.
Women's porn-watching is a sexual performance, the equivalent of a faked operatic orgasm.
Women enjoy porn because it's the equivalent of a strip tease -- something that turns her on only because it turns him on.
Women only enjoy porn with a story line - they need romance, kissing, foreplay, etc (an assumption that offends the author of this article)

So is this true? Do chicks think porn is cool or say they like it just because it's what guys want to hear (kind of like saying they like football)? Is it all just an act? Or are there chicks out there that really get off on gonzo porn?

I find that women are either offended or empowered by porn. It can go both ways and often does at the same time. To each their own, every women will like a different type of porn depending on their sexual mood, but it defintiely is not always wanting an "xrated version of a lifetime movie".

Society has changed.

I had a friend, a really hot chick, who planned on building a solo girl site with me. We had started to shoot both photos and videos. However, she got preggers and got married, and forbid her husband to ever look at porn online. We are still very close (I'm her son's Godfather), and it kills me knowing that I have her naked on video and her husband still has no idea.

However, today's youth lives in a much different world.

Growing up, the only way to see porn was to go out and get it - and bring it home. I wasn't on TV, and you didn't "stumble" across it at the libary. I remember my mother getting pissy because we used to watch Dukes of Hazard and Daisy Duke with her short shorts.... Now we have an entire generation that has grown up with Bay Watch. To take this a step further, nearly every thirteen year old now has their own myspace page, their parents have no idea, and they have some rather risky pix up there.

Today's youth has all seen porn, be it by accident, or by seeking it out via the Internet.

Not sure if it makes her hotter but it tells me she is a tad more liberal than the average chicca.

I hope porn is not in Fashion, we'll be fadded out LOL.

Why? Did she become insecure after no longer being 'porn' herself?
