ICQ is giving me weirdness again today. Not necessarily errors mind you... just a lot (I mean a LOT) of "unsupported event notifications" from people on my contact list that I haven't even chatted with in months, some of them years.
I don't know why this is suddenly happening today. If anyone else has seen this, let me know please.
The only thing I can think of is that I installed an ICQ client on my iPhone over the weekend, and went online with it once to see what it was like. Then I put it offline. But that's it.

I wish I could just drop ICQ but it's become an essential tool.
Maybe I will just get a new number and start over.

No problem with Adium on OS X here.

what version are you running Chris?I'm running 2003a. I have found it to generally be one of the most stable versions I've tried.
I had ICQ 5 running for a couple hours yesterday but I don't like it near as much. Is the current version worth a look do you know?
We have been using Trillian with no problems. Everytime we try the ICQ software we have difficulties, so we stay away from it. Another option to look at is http://qipim.com/en/ We've heard great things about it and are going to hopeful try it soon! Best of Luck!

OK I think I figured out the issue.
It appears to be a conflict with Adium and ICQ 2003a.
I asked a bunch of people on my list (those who were sending me the error messages) what they were running and all of them save one was running Adium.
Maybe I need to downgrade my ICQ to 2001. Anyone have a copy? ;)
