What kind of car do you have and what gas mileage does it get?

I have a 1999 honda civic that I am planning to keep until it dies. It's such a great car, reliable, affordable to maintain. I've been doing the math and it gets an average of 30 MPG. I hear these new cars advertised and I'm really surprised that in 10 years the gas mileage has not really improved.

I got out of my SUV last October and bought a Nissan Murano, not amazing on gas but a hell of alot better than my other Nissan. It averages about 23 MPG.

I'm a little red in the face since I don't know what kind of MPG our cars get.
Steph has a MB 320E, I drive a Jeep Liberty, and we have a 96 Golf which of the three I'm sure gets the best mileage.

I have 2 cars:

1 is a V8 Trans Am 2002 6-speed manual. It costs about $70.00 to fill up and I get 410 Khm to the tank.

My other car is a V6 Nissan Murano with CLV automatic transmission. This stupid thing costs $90.00 to fill up and gets only 300Khm to the tankful.

WTF? Why is my 6cyl 3.x litre engine doing so bad compared to my V8 5.7 litre?

I brought the Murano to the dealer and they said nothings wrong, and suggested that I drive it too fast. yeah right.

Oh well. I have a Murano for sale if anyone wants one!

I am still in the process of looking for a car and I think I may have made a decision but first I need to go and test drive it....

I wonder what my son will be driving when he gets his permit 11 or 12 years from now?

I'm thinking it will be something along the lines of a ZENN (www.zenncars.com)

Altima 3.5 SE

The V6 Altima gets 11.4 l/100 km (23 mpg) in the city and 8.4 l/100 km (34 mpg) on the highway, according to Transport Canada figures.

I usually use the middle octane... wonder if I should use the premium one? And I'm not sure if those figures are really accurate... I never calculated it myself.

I have a 2004 Mustang Cobra. It's got a Supercharged V8 six speed manual engine, and does 0-60 in four seconds. I did a quick look up for stats and I see it gets 24 mph highway, and 17 mph city.

However, I work from home and rarely leave the house. I couldn't tell you the last time I drove my car, and when I did it was just to make sure it still runs. I can't remember the last time I filled it up with gas. It was months ago.

My wife has a 2004 Ford Explorer with a V6 in it. She doesn't work, and we use it for running around town. We fill it up once every other month and it costs $70. I don't stress too much because I can live with $70 every other month. Everything here is within walking distance - including a Target - so we rarely drive.

Do you have the 3.5 SE dynosisus? Also the V6 have different motors... my 02 has a 240 hp, the 03 has 245 if I'm correct and the new ones have like 280.

Anyways I'm gonna do about 4000km starting tomorrow so I will set up the thing on the dashboard to calculate the MPG.

That's really awesome. Walking Neighbrhoods are hard to come by. I'd walk more often but its hard carrying a baby and groceries and shit. I did get a really cool baby carrier the other day so I can have my hands free.
