I haven't been browsing newsgroups for years. The thing is, many sponsors will kill your account if they catch you using their content for newsgroup promotions.

If you have your own content and watermark it, newsgroups can be useful for branding.

I browse newsgroups, and there is so much stolen content there that I highly doubt anyone will be interested in buying any porn, I wouldnt try.
