Have tube sites affected the way you do business or your marketing strategies? Have you tried submitting sponsor provided tube clips to these sites, or creating your own clips? Do you offer clips to affiliates? Have you ever advertised at a tube site? If you offer exclusive content, have you tried looking for stolen content on tube sites and if so, what did you find?

Yes they did, we now need to have staff to go threw tube sites and then a lawyer to send C&D's

More expenses with 0 return :-(

Everyone is bitching about a lack of sales. I see this too; I consult for a dozen different companies and have access to their stats.

I'm an affiliate; I send traffic to these programs. While I see ratios have tripled, there is still good money to be made in porn. It's just harder to make today.

My point is.... Everyone is bitching about how bad sales are. Our industry has changed, and for the most part we have failed to change with it.

I wasn't bitching about sales or blaming tube sites. I was just wondering how the existence of tube sites has affected operations, stragetgies, etc.

But I do see your point in the lack of ingenuity and marketing failures industry wide.

Let's just say for a long time I was contacting tube8 a lot. But they've cleaned up their act quite a bit now.

At the same time - many companies use tube sites to promote their material and spend anywhere between 15 to 80k a month just for a placement banner. So although it has hurt us, some have started using it for their benefit

I don't know if it is tube sites directly that have caused the lower sales in our business, but it might have a small part to play. The economy has more to do with it, I'd say.

Free content is catching up to this business like global warming to the planet.

more than likely since my sales all around have dropped drastically, but I can blame tubes 100% since it may be many other things also. whatever it is it's making me have to sell a couple of my domains.. one being my oldest one registered in 1999.

on the content side.. i find it's made companies reluctant to produce/buy custom exclusive content ..It's happened too many times, that I've shot some content and see it up on a tube site with-in two to three weeks of it being shot, edited and released to the members area.
