Just installed it and ordered a nice logitech cam for video chats.

Who here uses it on a regular basis?

Im seeing more websites, web stores and customer service all over the internets offering skype as a way to contact them. :-)

I use it only once in awhile to chat with my buddy from Vancouver.

Hi Visualad,

I use skype all the time - I make at least 5-10 phone calls a day on it. The sound quality is perfect (I use a headset on a machine with windows xp and a dsl connection). I also use it to make phone calls from Hotel's when travelling. The only thing I hate about it is the clunky interface. Otherwise, great program.

I do. Avalanche and I used to talk on it constantly. I've found a few others that prefer Skype also. It's nice - When I don't feel like talking I'll shut down ICQ, but anyone who really knows me can hit me up on Skype.

Also, I recently discovered my family was doing the video chat via skype, so I went out and bought me a camera and all.

I never use it. We use ichat when I want to see and talk to my brothers and friends.

I live in the west island. Outgoing calls are long distance in Laval and South Shore, so I use Skype for outgoing calls. Only a few bucks for 24/7 unlimited outbound calls all across north america, and with amazing audio quality.

I've been using it for almost two years. It has cost effectiveness and amazing convenience. I just called to France today, at 2.4 cents per minute, (Canadian Pesos).
