I'm wondering what are some of the more vital plugins for Wordpress blogs.

I have a few of them but looking for more. For example, I want to be able to use FLV embed code in my entries. What's the optimal plugin for that?

For FLV embedded on Carol's Blog, I use wordTube. So far it has worked great. You can see it in action on her Blog at http://blog.carolcox.com

That looks good Dan, but are you forced to show the "choice of other video formats" below the actual clip?

All I really want to do is take code like below, enter it as an entry and publish it.

<div id='player85316849'></div><script type='text/javascript' src='http://tools.studiohd.com/swfobject.js'></script><script type='text/javascript' src='http://tools.studiohd.com/embeddedflash.php?ccbill_id=1965749&video_id=12391671404a71c26f11f456.92346023&link_id=1&player=player85316849&width=640&height=360'></script>

No, that is just stuff I added as many people don`t like FLV videos. It`s just a way to show the variety and sizes of videos we have. The actual wordTube plug-in is just the FLV video you see.

Cool I'm going to try it! Thanks for the tip!

Plugins I can't live with out:

StatPress Reloaded - Real time stats for your blog.

TS Custom Widgets- This plugin enables you to select which widgets appear on specific posts, pages, categories, author's posts and tag pages. By default, all widgets appear wherever the sidebar is loaded within your theme.

Extended Category Widget - Replacement of the category widget to allow for greater customization of the category widget.

One Click Plugin Updater - Upgrade plugins with a single click, install new plugins or themes from an URL or by uploading a file, see which plugins have update notifications enabled, control how often WordPress checks for updates, and more.

I always install those on my blogs.

Im wondering if anyone has experience with both VBulletin and Wordpress and knows of a way to list my Wordpress Pages along the top of my Vbulletin pages.

I was able to do it one way but just throwing the wordpress theme for header into the index.php for Vbulletin, but it really didnt look that nice that way.

Anyone know a better and cleaner way to do this?
