Hey everyone,

I have a cousin in Australia who's looking to move to LA but he needs to have a job already secured in order to get a work visa. He's an amazing videographer and graphic designer. He eventually wants to do mainstream work but he's cool with adult stuff. In fact, most of the work he's been doing lately has been at a strip club in Sydney. It was actually really funny. We had met years ago when we were a lot younger when I actually went to Sydney, and just recently we've been emailing and talking on the phone, getting to know each other again as adults. He was being really coy about the details of his work and then finally admitted working with the strippers. He said "please don't tell your folks". Then I started laughing and he was a little taken aback. I said, "we're more alike than you think... I work for a gay porn company". LOL!

I don't know if we have anything for him with Randy Blue but I'm looking into it. But honestly, I know he'd be a lot more inclined to work with the ladies than the dudes. LOL! So I thought I'd put some feelers out there and see if any of you are in LA or know someone in LA who's looking for a well rounded production/graphics guy. I can send you samples of his work. He even did a time lapse thing around the Sydney Opera House that is absolutely breathtaking. So he's really multi-talented. And he's got a lot of his own gear. So hit me up. I'm gonna ask you guys to email me personally at donmike@roadrunner.com or PM me here, rather than through my work email, since this is more of a personal request. Thanks. :)

Thanks Chris,

He's a really cool guy. I hope we can get him out here somehow. He's so excited to move to LA.

For the love of god why would anyone be excited to move to LA?

The answer should be evident, Rochard. Because I'm here, of course. Well, that and Disneyland. :)

Although I do not know of anyone in particular, he would have better luck creating a portfolio. There are a great many studios out there but his resume/portfolio will get him in any door faster.

Thanks Legacy. I'm sure he has one. I was just trying to put some feelers out. Once he's in contact with someone he could show them a portfolio.

How is he going to get a work visa? those bad boys are hard to come by today.

I'm not really sure about that. He seems to know what he's doing. He also has a lot of equipment he'll be bringing. He really knows his stuff. I'm guessing that he's proving that he's got a skill that he can use here in the states as opposed to trying to come over here to do something really general.

So my cousin has put together a website to showcase his talents. He's done everything from graphic work, music production, video editing and production and then some. Here's his site. If you guys know of anyone in the LA area who could use him please pass the info on. I'm not posting this everywhere because I don't really hang on too many boards these days, but I still hang here, so I didn't think you guys would mind.

I don't know the details of how it works but in order to move here he needs to prove he's got a job waiting for him. So I'm trying to help him out.
