For those of you who've been in the adult industry for a few years... and read some posts/comments by idiots on other boards, do you not have the urge at times to just do this??

Seriously when they say porn is dead, I wonder if it was in inside job by allowing so many young kids in with no proper business training and some computer knowledge who just love to spam, scream and mostly bitch/blame everyone else

I've always just took those types of comments to mean that the people saying it either...

(a) are not making any money, so therefore NO ONE IS

(b) ARE making money and what everyone else to think it's dead so they can make even more money

(c) Are just trolls

I just recently spoke to an escort agency who called me up asking for advice for their clients in Canada. First thing I did was gather not only demographics for the regions they were interested in, but also the culture, age, jobs, pay, and so on. What I found was that they were using the same style of marketing as they use for Bay St upper class in Toronto in area's that are residential in British Columbia filled with Asians.

One point I brought out was that the area they were trying to reach only less than 11% spoke english - and guess what? They website was all in English !!! They had no translator etc. much less understood that the culture they were attempting to reach is not interested in the girls they were offering.

In short they changed their strategy and soon after another relaunch in the local newspapers/net that reached that area their phones and website requests started moving again.

What I am trying to say is that old strategies are gone - plus the people you thought you were trying to reach now have different friends moving in next door that aren't accustomed to the usual marketing techniques we all became accustomed too.
