I just received an email from: admin@xnations.com
The subject: your account

It appeared to contain a virus which my Norton quickly picked up on. Here is the text that appeared in the email.
Hello there,

I would like to inform you about important information regarding your
email address. This email address will be expiring.
Please read attachment for details.

Please be informed that no admin from XNations sent this email. Delete the email and please do not reply. If anyone is clever enough to find out where this email originated from, I'd be happy to hear about it.

yeah I've gotten a few of those and my antivirus has removed the attachemnt each time

But just in case

I got the same thing from admin@hirise.com and my norton alerts went off.

What: Admin Email (Virus Warning)

Impact: There appears to a worm virus showing as sent from admin@optusnet.com.au. The email is advising that the recipients email address is about to expire and to open an attachment to maintain the address. The attachment appears to be a worm virus causing the infected machine to start sending emails.
DO NOT run the attachment. Anti-Virus software is highly recommended to remove the email but caution should be used.

Please be advised that this email was not sent from Optusnet.

The virus has been confirmed, details available from Norton:

I know this is a couple of days late, but I'm new here :cool: I had a friend get this email and I looked it up.... it's the W32.Mimail.A@mm virus new as of 08/01
