Xnations will always keep you ahead of the curve!

Now, in collaboration with our newest moderator wsjb78, XNations is happy to bring you Daily Expiring PageRank Domains from Google...

Check it out... http://www.xnations.com/pageranks/

I'll be adding this to the menu bar this week, but I thought I would let everyone know where it is, and to have a look!

Very nice touch, and exelent for a webmaster board :)
(bet it won't be long before other boards steal that idea)

Nice work wsjb78.. I've allready been surfing your list regularly since you posted this on the bord the first time.. Just nice to have it added to the board too :xthumbs:

What do you think of the latest enhancements? I mean that not only anymore PR is being displayed but also backlinks from various SEs? - Takes longer now to get the output from the database but I think it's quite worth it!

Interesting, but don't domains lose their PR rating when they expire?

So therefore, it's up to the new owner of the domain to retain the ranking or even improve on it by keeping the domain relevant.

Am I way off here?

I've read things about this too. It's my understanding that Google checks the renewal of expired domains and then resets the pagerank back to zero.

Basically the new owner of the site does not receive credit for the previous owners hard work. The new owner has to build and maintain the pagerank themselves.

Moste expired domains seem to loose it and a few keep it... that's my experience... however which one do what is not entirely clear to me....
Another thing to think about it is that a high PR does not grant a good ranking... - on this note I have to say that I think the PR has been pretty much f***** up meanwhile -

Thx FunB

Last changes:

I added a link to the results to check the backlinks of the domains in the appropriate SE and also a link to the Alexa details of that webpage...

Next thing to include would be a split up of the results shown onto various pages so that not all the time like 1MB of data must be loaded first...

If you have input on what to change please let me know!

Btw, the countdown for the next drop seems not to work right. I thought I had meanwhile corrected that issue but since the server time and my computer time are both set to CET and when I change the local time here on my computer I still get the same results...

Anyway, the daily drop time is at 18:00 GMT

Ok, the JS for the countdown was corrected... I did also adjus tthe colors a bit more to xnations.... should I use the forums alternate row colouring for the domain list or you (as I do now) the background coloring ?

I'll also add soon a few navigational headers so that only like 100 domains are being shown at once...

Now to the impact of the VeriSign fidling with the DNS tables! Right now it seems that I am unable to get the PR for all of those expired domains. I have to see if that settles again... for now I think I'll just release the list with according backlinks but not PR...

nice job, but you'll notice that 95% of those domains won't be available, people are quick to snap those domains. Page rank will be lost on next update provided that there is nothing on the site, however, if info remains on the site at googles next update, depending on keyword relativity it may keep its PR
