I'm looking into buying a laptop. Anyone have any recommendations on which ones they like and which ones they don't?

Thanks!

That one actually looks quite nice and it's got also a good resolution (which was for me the keyfactor) :)

:) I like Toshiba as well. I'm not exactly sure of the model Visualad is referring to, but it sounds cool.
What I like about Toshiba is you get more hardware for your money and less pre-installed software.

If you want something ultra light, then Toshiba isn't for you. Although it isn't really heavy, they don't seem to specialize in the light-weight models but for performance it's a good choice.

I have had the Satellite 1900 for almost 2 years. Still working awesome.

I almost bought the sleek new HP, but decided I could hold off a while longer..
I would like to hear reviews on the Sony Vaio

A friend of mine bought a Fujitsu. It's LIGHT and fully equipped. I was impressed by the quality of the keyboard.

I had checked them out a year ago too. They were recommended to me by a guy who sells them to the corporate world.

It's running an AMD Athlon XP1900+ processor, 13.3" screen and weights only 4.3 lbs
