well, good luck with it. My partner lives in the middle of nowhere Indiana, and is forced into using satellite, which works fine as long as it does not rain or snow, both of which happen 11 months of the year.

Oh, and don't forget sunspots . . . I thought they only talked about them in 4th grade science class . . . well, turns out there is a season of sunspots that will knock down your connection.

Dial up is much more reliable, even if a little slower

I agree. Nothing beats a cable modem linked by fiber optic lines <img src="http://www.adultisubmit4u.com/Smile/grinning-smiley-002.gif" width="49" height="19">

Radical X,

with your new broadband access you don't have time to drink a cup of coffee anymore between each site load... isn't that some kind of drawback? :D

I still wonder why so many people use dial up and after they change to broadband access they think the inet is lightning fast...

hehehehehehe

I would have preferred cable but I live in an area of Scotland, where the loch ness monstar roams free and we still hunt t-rex's for dinner lol!!

Lol unfortunately the area I live in doesn't have the capability for cable broadband, so satty net was the choice!!

Although I know BT is testing a new service called Mesh Radio in Wales, England! It's supposed to be really good and a lot cheaper than cable/satellite. Will they ever launch it, that's another question to be answered!
