Is it to late for a new webmaster to get into the business, or a new webgirl?

Is it pretty near impossible to become one of the industry leaders at this point?

I mean, could someone start tomorrow... start building sites, galleries... what ever... and make a lot of money and gain themselves a porn empire in this business still?

Or is it pretty much just not going to happen any more?

Well it's never to late to start, if you have something unique, something that nobody else has even an idea that will already put you on top of some in the industry. As far as becoming a leader in the industry that all comes with time and work nobody wakes up in the morning and gets into the porn industry and becomes ARS or Maxcash for example but in time and hard work and some interesting ideas anyone can raise above and become leader. Since there is so much things going like the Acacia issue, Visa 1% charge back rule on which will make it harder for an avg webmaster to make money but there is still a lot of money in the industry and porn will always be in demand.

I don’t know about everyone else but I don’t need an empire and don’t have any dreams of building one. I’m very content with earning a very nice living and being able to offer those who work for me that same luxury.

I think there’s always room for a new top dog in any industry but it takes time to build a reputable name, it doesn’t happen over night no matter how much cash you invest. I remember a few years back when Hanco came out of the blue and wanted to be an instant empire, investing huge $ in parties and promotion, they did throw a great party but closed their doors shortly after!

You need money..!!! money for traffic and to brand and advertise. A good idea is not enough anymore.

I think you are a success if you can pay your bills to be in business and cover your personal costs.

I think it would be pretty tough for someone with little or no experience in our business to make a serious go of it in a full time capacity right now.

Someone doing it part-time and growing something could get it going in time, and hopefully quit their day job, but it certainly isn't like 3 or 4 years ago now.
