Allmost forgot how much fun this was last time *lol*

Now to start it of easy... Name this tune :

Cleaned a lot of plates in Memphis
Pumped a lot of pain down in New Orleans
But I never saw the good side of a city
Til I hitched a ride on the riverboat queen

As last time, First one to guess the right tune gets to post the next !

Proud Mary!

Next....

And if I say to you tomorrow. Take my hand, child, come with me.
It's to a castle I will take you, where what's to be, they say will be.

Catch the wind, see us spin, sail away, leave today, way up high in the sky.
But the wind won't blow, you really shouldn't go, it only goes to show
That you will be mine, by takin' our time.

OK...just to let ya know, that one was Dumb Ass Country Boy by Jackyl.

I'll go easier with this one. :)

Well i'm running back and forth from here to South Carolina
wishing you were here. I guess I should watch what I wish for

You're right on time, so invite me in, this is where your trouble begins
but I like you better than the other ones, and you say i'm right
when you know i'm wrong. We could never just get along
don't you hate when it gets stuck in your mouth and then
those words get in the way. she said...

OMG...Jackyl is a great hard rock band from Georgia. Their former and current bass players are both from Kingsport, TN, which is half an hour north of me. Their hayday was '92 - '95, but they still tour.

Surely, someone can guess the second one. Here's a hint: they're Canadian. :)

We just have to face it, this time we're through
(This time we're through, this time we're through
This time we're through, we're really through)
Breaking up is never easy, I know but I have to go

Their first album is my favorite (self titled). Songs to check out are "I Stand Alone", "When will it Rain", "Push Comes to Shove" (from the 2nd album by the same name) and "Dumb Ass Country Boy".

Enjoy. :)

Hehe.. If noone else will have a shot at this i'll just warp myself straight back to the 80's and sing along with Abba on Knowing me knowing you AhhHaaaa..
Now that was the super era for swedish popmusic.. I think they where like a total plague in the Danish/Nordic radios for about a decade (propably every European radio really)

Where they as big in the states.. Don't recall seeing anything about them beeing big over there ?

And for the next tune... Some cool dudes that i've been out drinking with and smoking the pipe back in my young days when we did that sort of thing *ups*

Now you wouldn`t believe me if I told you a lie
But I went to this party with a real cool guy
He was wearing high heeled patent leather boots
And a polystyrene dayglo suit
He said
"Hey man"
"Don`t be afraid"
"Coz I got a blind date you will never forget"
Then he grabbed my arm and arranged a cab
And lit a strange looking fag..

*Goddamn Those Danes can make Music*:D

Sometimes I sleep, sometimes it's not for days

Well.. i was just waiting to post yet another 80's tune so i'll be happy to take that one *lol*

What's the matter with your life
Is the poverty bringing U down?
Is the mailman jerking U 'round?
Did he put your million dollar check
In someone else's box?

Heh.. the full text for this tune is quite awesome IMHO ;)

We have a song from someone who has been around for a long time - this is off the artists lastest CD

We took a taxi to the station, not a word was said
And I saw you walk across the road
For maybe the last time I don't know
Feeling humble
I heard a rumble
On the railway track
And when I hear that whistle blow
I'll walk away and you won't know
That I'll be crying

Phil Colins - Can't stop loving you :)

Heh.. I allways get "in the air tonight" stuck in my head every time someone mentions his name... So now i have YOU to blame for that for the next few hours *lol*

New Tune :
Okay.. this is another Dane *sorry, can't help it* I think he's know world wide (at least he ought to be *lol*).. A small hint.. All the lyrics on this album combined tell a continuing story ;)

So there they stood at the top of the stairs
Miriam in the mood, Jonathan was scared
Gazing into the dark, Jonathan saw the star
For a second he turned his back
And she was there like a ghost
She him hard and clean
To the bottom of the stairs
"Now we're finally alone, Miriam
Abigail is here to stay"

Well.. I'll keep it easy then :

Well, now momma, poppa told me, son you better watch your step.
If I knew my momma, poppa, have to watch my dad myself.

There was three sugar walls and a two candy cane windows

Made me think about the next one.. not that they are very much alike though..

You were licking your lips and your lipstick shining
I was dying just to ask for a taste
We were lying together in a silver lining
By the light of the moon
You know there's not another moment to waste
Not another moment
Not another moment to waste

Anybody got a good recipe for Meatloaf ???

Jesus, he comes up to me, Jesus, he sits down
Says take this fuckin' cross off my back, I'm goin' downtown
I say aw, but ain't that your uniform
He offers me a toke
Says two thousand years is long enough for this particular joke

Okay, i really had to google this one.. seems to be Dan Bern aka Bernstein, an indie acoustic folk/rock singer-songwriter with one thing real ::-|

This on should be a bit easier IMHO at least :p

What about sunrise
What about rain
What about all the things
That you said we were to gain
What about killing fields
Is there a time
What about all the things
That you said was yours and mine
Did you ever stop to notice
All the blood we've shared before
Did you ever stop to notice
The crying Earth the weeping shores?

*First one to get this wins a spot in my evening prayer*

Summer of 69 -- Bryan Adams

NEXT SONG:

How dare you say that my behavior is unacceptable
So condescending unnecessarily critical
I have the tendency of getting very physical
So watch your step cause if I do you'll need a miracle
