I miss the eighties because of the huge amounts of money we were all making. Paying cash for new bmw's and jags. Buying houses and flats. 24 year olds with more money than they ever imagined. Life in Europe was great. It was exciting, imaginative, creative and wild.....plates and plates of white powder. Pints of Dom Perignon. First class flights and five star hotels. The sad part was that we all thought it would last forever. Then we woke up one day, and it was 1990. Life in the fast lane throttled back big time.

I was in junior high so I really did'nt see that but my mom took a lot of trips in the 80's and we had a nice penthouse suite.

one of the best movies ever..I watch it late at night while I am working everytime it comes on. The music and cloths really makes me miss that time period and regret that I was as young as I was and missed out on most of it.

I got lots, but they are from another business and it wouldn't be appropriate to post them here. But I guarantee you have seen a few.

The 80's were great, except for a few/many fashion faux pas.

I loved the 80's! It was a great time to be a teen. I had so much fun. Madonna ruled right along with all the "hair bands", European bands, and MTV actually played videos. I loved the Headbangers Ball and The Young Ones. Shows like Miami Vice, KnightRider, Magnum PI... Porky's was another great movie.

The 80's were all about having fun. The music was fun. The Seattle grunge scene hadn't hit yet. None of the really depressing music crap that hit the main scene in the early 90's. Even the rap music was fun and cheesy. Aerosmith came back to life. People made a ton of money easily. The clothes and hairstyles were quite colorful. Hair spray manufacturer's made billions in the 80's. Jordache jeans and wearing layers of colored socks was a big thing. I still have to laugh when I think of all the goofy hairstyles and outfits I wore. <img src="http://smilies.sofrayt.com/%5E/c0/biglaugh.gif" width="15" height="15">

If you only knew what i did with my hair and hair spray in the 80's!

Do you Remember that song "Wake me up before you Go Go"?

or Boom Boom Boom come back to my room! lol

or the bus stop! dance? hehhe that would get so many drunken aussie blokes up to fool around on the dance floor..

If i could go back to the 80's I would have been a much nicer person who i am now today!

LOL @ monaro! I remember all that stuff. I absolutely loved The Young Ones. The bath water was like sludge. Absolutely disgusting. LOL! Vyvyan & Neil were my favorites. Classic British humor. I loved that show!

The 80s! They were fun times for sure... Here's a few things I recall from the 80s...

- watching the "20 Minute Workout" every single day of my life.
- bought my first CD player, I can't remember how much it was but I remember it being expensive. (I still have it)
- bought my first VCR for $300 (I don't have it anymore)
- taking the bus downtown to watch the Habs play every Saturday night (standing room tickets)
- joining the army
- listening to a lot of Stevie Ray Vaughn
- MTV was better then

Also! Anyone from Toronto will remember the music video show "City Lights" with Christopher Ward. It preceded "Much Music" and Ward became one of the first veejays.
