does anyone here do any online trading and if so who do you use?

scottrade.

I tend to buy shares and sit on them for a while, rather than constant trading. These guys don't have inactivity fees, etc.

per trade? if so that's good, most places I've checked (banks) take a percentage of the volume you do

scottrade fees are $7 for market orders made online. it's a little more if you do a phone order.

Limit, stop, and stop limit orders are 5 bucks extra.

When I bought my first stocks years ago, the fee for the order was 25 dollars.

The stock market has always been something that interested me but I dont know much about it. I know ther eare a couple of companies I would liek to buy some stock in and I would also like to do a little agressive trading just to see if I can turn a few bucks out of it.

The last few years, everyone wants to lay their money on the table, roll the dice once, and go home. I've always been a long-term investor.

There's a huge emphasis on keeping up with industry news, whichever industries you are invested in.

It's like deciding which niche to design a site for. If you can tell what will be popular and lucrative early on, you can make coin. You can also reap benefeits by knowing when to sell off the domain and site and go to another niche.
