I stopped watching Idol after the audition process this year but I did happen to catch last night's show.

Of the 4 left, I don't like any of them. But I think Fantasia is the best of what's left.

its so much of a scam this year even the judges are being thrown off. I was shocked when Jennifer was last and reallyshocked when George was sent home but this has confirmed my fears that its totally fake and just a formality that fox has to go through. I told my girlfriend ysterday morning this was gonna happen when one of the producers of AI did an interview and said " Be ready for an upset tonight"

I don't think it's a scam in the sense that Fox is going against the votes, I think people just aren't voting. They assume the better one will win, so they don't vote for that person. Meanwhile the people that like the underdogs vote a lot to help them out.

Fox wouldn't care who wins, their interest is in having people watch the SHOW, not buy the album at the end. That goes to Simon's record company if I'm correct.

How do you figure that? Jennifer and George were both very good singers, definatly better than Diana and Latoya was the best one of all of them. Its nto a matter of who I liked its a matter of who can sing.

yes and this is why I feel like it is a farce. We dont know who is getting more votes..we have no fucking clue who is voting for who or even if the votes are counted correctly so I honestly think Fox has some cheese invested in someone specific and therefore everyone else must go.

youknow what, your absolutly right, I htought Amy could sing her ass off but she had a country voice and they ar elooking for a pop star. I do think she will be very successful if she goes after a country deal. And Diana has a voince but you cant argue wiht the fact that latoya could sing, anything, hell she probably already has a record deal by now with Elton...lol

Cold_Ice, just because I can't stand Country or Western doesn't mean I can't respect a good vocalist. :) Amy was great, agreed, but she wasn't 19Entertainment material - *sniff* because I loved her spunk and her voice. American Idol is all about creating the next Britney Spears (which they will never do) and advertising for FOX.
I had full scholarships to two universities for my voice back in the day. I however don't have a solo voice - there aren't many solo artists that have a true low bass voice. LOL, I'da been great signing with the Oakridge Boys on "Elvira" though. Doubt I still can, but I used to be able to hit low-E without straining.

I'm actually glad that LaToya is out of the competition as she'd be smothered in the 19Ent environment. She's so much better that the crap they spit out (can you say Spice Girls?).

I think Clay will be around for a long time and I also think Joshua will be great if he sticks to country. I think fox can and will Create a new star. How long they shine is up to them and how hard they work and how well they market themselves. No matter how a star is formed they can all be a one hit wonder or an artist for decades. just my two cents:)

Fantasia was AMAZING tonight. If she doesn't win I'll never watch the show again.

The good thing about these shows is...regardless of who wins, the performers with true talent are getting awesome exposure and will end up with a record deal. Elton John and Clive Davis have both already said they'd offer Fantasia a contract in a heartbeat.

America is stupid, I have no doubts about that. Either the terrible Hawaiian girl or the so-so blonde will win. Both girls have potential talent, but they're too young and need to hone their craft for a few years.

the people that are being allowed to vote should really be shot up to this point. That Jasmin chick is probably gonna win it all just ont he fucking sympathy vote which sucks since she should have been gone a few weeks ago. Im sure Latoya had a contract ready for her before the the show ended the night she was sent home. isnt she the one Elton told that he would sign her right away if he could, or was it Barry, Barry like Jennifer didnt he? I cant fucking remember at this point I just know its a sham and a scam...lolololol
