My job is a little hard to define; I'm a little bit of everything. While I'm still the one who puts up our tours and member's areas, I'm the dolt in charge here at the office. I also have a serious interest in the long term development of Lightspeed Cash - Future projects and where the company is going.

I'm also the one who cleans up when a photoshoot turns into a food fight. Go figure. Maybe I'm an overpaid janitor.

I work with webmasters - setting up billing, hosting, and DRM video encryption technology. That's the short of it... but the real bang in sales (and my commissions) is helping develope my existing businesses/clients - finding new revenue sources, maximizing profits and sales, new marketing ideas and marketing channels.

I also do mostly sales and marketing but will be getting into a few other things in the next year as in designing, HTML, site building.

Looking forward to learning all this stuff, so that I can see what the other side of the coin lives like....=)

Ounique
08-24-2004, 12:23 PM
The funny thing about my job is that I'm considered VP of sales for Ounique , but really my strong point is in customer service. I mean, I can't make you buy content, and I can't create a need in a person for a certain type of content, it's like grocery shopping, everyone needs to buy content. My job is to be here for the client the help with any of thier content needs. I've never really been the "hard sell" kind of guy. I just figure if I'm genuine and real then people will feel comfortable coming to me if they need anything, and therefore think of Ounique when they need content. :)

Agreed! For the most part I deal with marketing and affiliate support, making sure affiliates get what they need to market our sites as well as taking care of sales & support for our live feeds. In this biz it seems we wear multiple hats, I also do some video editing for our sites and clean pics here and there.

The two things I don’t do is design work and programming, I leave that to those who know what they are doing:-)

08-24-2004, 12:31 PM
Sales is the only thing I know how to do ;-)

I take care of the sales, helping out webmasters and the marketing of PornAccess (ads, shows, etc...)

I am really an idiot when it comes to HTML and technical stuff like that

I think I'm in the same boat as others here, a little bit of everything. I'm the Production Manager of the office but I could probobly go on and on with other things I do between putting out daily fires, hiring new employees, answering icq's from Evil Chris, etc, etc.

Like everyone else, I'm an all of the above person too. That is of course after I'm done being a tech first. In this industry, you really do need to wear many hats. My biggest hat is definitely a red hat, with my weakest area being sales. It's tough to be a "people person" when you are not one.

heh, "red hat". Get it? :)

I just drive the ship.. I am fortunate to have a good team that splits up all of the daily responsibilities for MojoHost and 123Bill. I do some of the focused tasks for MojoHost like purchasing, billing and sales but all of the technical infrastructure is managed by the staff that I put in place - under my direction.

Well, where to start, basically I handle questions concerning AJ, AOL, ASP, AV, B2B, B2C, CPA, CPC, CPS, CTR, DH, FFA, HB, IM, INK, LS, MSN, NL, NSI, PFI, PFP, PPC, PPCSE, PPPL, PPS, PV, RON, ROS, SEO, SEP, UV, and WWW issues.

I field a couple dozen phone calls a day, a few hundred ICQ’s, and about a thousand emails. Not to mention the 25 newbie’s I chat with each and every day.

I post on four primary boards, boards which I feel have some cool peeps, friends, or are great resources including XNations, YNOT, Pimpboard and JBM.

I also do the sales, so all the advertising metrics are my department…such as the above mentioned CT, CTR, CR, CPA’s, CPM’s and CPC’s, PPC< PPCSE< PPS< . As well as all the CAC, HITS, IR, HM, PV, and Site Stickiness issues.

I manage over 450 ad campaigns daily and make sure the proper ads are with the proper campaigns and contracts.

The Webmaster ads themselves: banner ads, beyond the banner, button ads, HTML banner, interstitial, pop-up, pop under, rectangle, rich media, skyscraper, text, surround session, or vertical banner, are all under my supervision as well.

There is a definite online advertising plan including, the advertising network, caching, frequency caps, house ads, keyword marketing, rate card upgrades, rep firms and relations, RON’s, ROS’s, self-serve, sponsorship and underdelivary.

As for our affiliates on our sites, I oversee this department as well…including but not limited to: affiliate directory, affiliate forum, affiliate fraud, affiliate marketing, affiliate merchants, affiliate network, affiliate software, exclusivity agreements, payment thresholds, return days, super affiliates and two tier affiliates.

We have a software department which runs some big programs on the Net, including TS, MailCluster, and AdCluster. I oversee the relationships here.

As for business and e business: application service provider, the above B2B and B2C, disintermediation, guerilla marketing, free, first-mover advantage, interactive agency, markeging and business plans, and the network effect.

I moderate our chat boards, forums, and maintain a certain standard of netiquette at YNOTMasters.

I have to oversee our linking campaigns and strategies: ink checker, deep linking, inbound links, outbound links, and reciprocal links in our extensive Service Directory among other places…

These are just a few of my favorite things, but I would have to put the topper at co-hosting the HumpDay lunch show with LAJ…tomorrow we have Teagan Presley on, and she is as hot as they come! Not to mention bringing 100 Webmasters to a third world country twice a year.

Hmm.. I didn't really see my category, however I chose customer service and as I sober up a little bit as I write this I realize I fucked it up.

I was going to vote for video editor, but I figured since I made videos for my customers... I dunno, but I Think I fucked it up.

I do a bunch of stuff. I am the Director of Sales for Guerilla Traffic and Porn Profit - I also have a say in all of our marketing campagins. That's just for GT and PP plus the here's and there's.

I have 2 mainstream companies www.dirtybishes.com which I own with Shann and another partner. This is a "Gutter-Mouth" t-shirt business. And my other mainstream business sort of cascades into our Consulting business, which Shannon is also a partner's in. We out source all the design and tecky stuff. We are the minds behind our shirt sayings for the most part, we also throw amazing parties etc., etc.

Too much to do and too little time to do it all in!!

And uh, missy miss Laurel...who are you kidding? You are not kidding LOL xo
