Any comments on the Canon Optura 10 miniDV

I've read somewhere that they're very noisy, that the camera noise can be heard in the integrated mic.

I also read that the image quality is very good, for a camera of that price.

I'll be paying about 370 USD for one, brand new in the store.

It that worth it?

Gave it about 10 minutes to search G and didnt come up with noise issues.
I did come up with a few sites that give reviews and had found
alot of online stores give it full stars. But some gave out that the
battery does not last a great deal of time between charges.
Also sent an email to sales at canon and just noticed it bounced back, so
I stopped the search after that.

hmmm, I seen that you bought it, on your other post. I think it was a very good buy, well done.

Thanks Monaro. I spent about an hour with different search engines.

I found only one rant about noise.

For short-duration of the batteries, I don't care really that much because my still cam (Canon OES 10D uses batteries that fits on the video cam as well, so it saved me a bundle of $ buying spare batteries. I already have 3 still cam batteries. The video cam battery does not fit inside the still cam though, the shape of the battery housing is not the same.
