When you want to treat yourself to comfort food, be it fast food or whatever... what are your favourites? For me it's...

fries

Anything that is junk and takes no time to prepare... it gets ugly sometimes...

I'll stand between the refrigerator and the pantry and hardcore graze for 10 minutes... in that time I will consume the following for example...

Juice
water
beer
chips
cheese
bread
candy
anything left over in the fridge
anything in a jar that can be eaten directly from it (mushrooms, fruit, beets, pickles, etc.)
And if I'm really feeling especially peckish... i'll taste seasonings too... my favorites? Tabasco sauce and montreal seasoning...

I told you it gets ugly LOL... I'm sure I consume a full day's supply of fat, sodium, carbs and calories when I go on these mad binges...

There... now you all know clearly too much about me....

I used to make "anything sandwiches"...
Basically, anything I found in the fridge would go on it.

Some of the combinations got pretty strange... hehe

Although a nice romantic dinner in a beautiful restaurant with a good bottle of wine also seems to do the trick! :gorgeous:

Speaking of poutine, I just saw on the news that someone made the biggest poutine on record. Something like the size of three full bathtubs of the stuff. LOL

Here's a brief history of poutine. (http://www.canoe.ca/CNEWSLifeArchive/oct2_poutine.html)

I never knew what poutine was until I moved here. It looks disgusting! LOL! For me, it is definitely an acquired taste. It's really not that bad. I just don't crave it yet. :D

lasagnia
spagetti
fetechini alfredo
bruschetta
garlic bread

yeah I like Italian food can you tell.
No matter how often I eat those things I could never get enough.
When I was a teenager I would go on craving sprees where I would eat only spagetti for a week breakfast lunch and supper.

other stuff
extra creamy kraft dinner
chilli
channa curry with naan
fries and gravy
fries and vineger
most flavored chips
plain chips with chip dip.

oh hell I could go and on and on and on.
lol

Funny thing I had a craving for it about a week before this thread was started and I ate some probably 3 times that week.

It's not something I eat all the time at all though.

Cheese curds? Is that what we call Cottage Cheese? Funny how we have different names for the same things. Like the English calling them chips and we calling them french fries.

There's a little sandwich shop in Pittsburgh called Permanni Brothers where they make these amazing sandwiches, big thick bread, your main meat (salami, roast beef, turkey, etc,) and then pile it high with french fries and cole slaw. I know it sounds nasty but it's amazing. All my west coast friends who are from the east coast always make it a point to stop there when they go back to visit relatives.
