Aside from having a fantastic grasp of the English language, I also understand some German, fluent enough in Spanish, and can read (but not really understand) Hebrew. What's "Hewbrew" btw?? :bonk:

Well, English is only my 4th language so I think I'm allowed to have some spelling mistakes... :)
I'd have written Hebräisch but I didn't know how many of you would understand...

I don't think anyone in my family would have ever thought when I was a kid that I would end up speaking 3 languages. I certainly never thought I would.
But I really enjoyed French when I was in school, and so when I moved to Quebec, I picked up on it very fast. Living in Germany for 4 years made it easy for me to learn German in a short time.
I guess I have a knack for languages.

English, of course here. However, I'm slowly learning Tagalog (Filipino) since my wife speaks both languages.

Unfortunately, I only know English. I studied French, German, and Spanish in school, but after being out for 12 years and not using the languages, you tend to forget them.

Languages and peoples' accents fascinate me. There is so much that us Americans don't really know. A lot of our languages are electives in school. They aren't required learning. I think everyone should be fluent in more than one language.

I speak English fluently (usually anyways ...)

I can hold my own in French

I am half Greek, so speak some greek, but understand more than I speak (that whole "not using it" thing Panky talked about applies here ... my father did not speak it, so it was never spoken at home)

I have a fascination with languages, and usually pick up prases quite fast, so I can speak parts of German, Cantonese, Russian, Hungarian, Spanish (dated a girl from Venezeula for a year and half, and her English was about as good as my Spanish at the time ... so we each learned the other's language ...) Polish, Italian ....

I would love to have the time to become fluent in a few of them ...
