ASACP
SHARES BEST PRACTICES WITH THE INDUSTRY
Los
Angeles (August 14, 2003) -- Adult Sites Against Child
Pornography (ASACP) is pleased to share its Best Practices (BP)
with the industry.
Industry
lawyers on the Legal Roundtable at Internext-Hollywood advised
that if a company had written policies, it would provide a degree
of protection if the government reviewed
your company.
During
the last few months, ASACP has been working with its Advisory
Council to develop recommended BP as it relates to child pornography
for its members. ASACP makes no claim that these Best Practices
will meet legal standards and recommends that you consult with
an attorney. However, it does provide a basis for each company
to write its own policies, said Joan Irvine, Executive Director,
ASACP.
