actually i wrote to phillip currie at the tyrell museum
he thinks its not an egg but a definately a nodule and asked if i could bring it in for evaluation if im ever down there
wish i knew what a nodule meant in fossil terms
and so cool the guy on TV wrote me back
next day yet

that actually makes more sense, especially since it was found in the same general area as that wood. Like I mentioned, it seemed a little small for an egg, as sparrow eggs are at least that big.
