How many tradeshows do you go to?
 

That's if you go to any at all.

I used to go to a lot of them, maybe 6 or 8 a year but as soon as my son was born I cut it back to 2 a year, maybe 3 at the most. I go to the Phoenix Forum every year, and I try to make it to Vegas for Internext in January although I have missed it the past couple of years. I go to Qwebec Expo every year too since it is right in my back yard.

What shows do you attend, and why?

I have only been to one, Internext in Vegas in 2006. It was a blast though! I'd like to go to QwebecExpo this year but it on the weekend of my birthday!!!

Well Im pretty new So I've only been to one so far and that was Webmaster Access East. I'll be going to alot more as tiem goes on though I'm sure. I already have Qwebec Expo planned and Possibly Internext aswell.

mm .. I used to do about 6 - 10 a year. However in the last couple of years I've had to reduce it to alot less (eventhough there are alot more conventions now) Mmm m.. Lets see in 2006 I did 7, so far in 2007 I've only done 3 so far, and figure I'll probably do another 2 ... If they fell on a weekend I'd probably do more.

I've never been big on shows....

This year I went to Phoenix Forum, and I'll be going to Xbiz and YP.

YP is still my favorite and I consider it more of an vacation than anything else - although still some serious business gets done there.

We only do a couple .
The Quebecexpo and Internext in FLA, may start doing the Xbiz one.

I've been to 2 so far Internext Fla in 2005 and Vegas in 2006 but haven't been to one this year

I show up at a trade show once a year. I go incognito just to pester some of the whiney webmasters who are big and tough online but when you meet em' live they run like roaches.

All in all the majority of people at the shows are nice and funny. It's good to shake hands with people you chat and work with online.

Well.. let's see... I went to one way back when in 2000 i believe in new Orleans.... then didn't go to another one until 2006. LOL

I will likely go to the Florida show again here in 2007. The Vegas shows seem to me like their would be way too many distractions to get any meaningful business done. I know if I was in vegas I'd want to be playing poker cash games and tournies all the time.

Oh.. and I'd really like to see one in the midwest sometime.....

a few that work with my schedule... I like the LA shows and I have been to Vegas more times then needed I expect.

I stopped going to the Vegas shows in 2003 - burnt out on them. Too big to be really productive and more fanfare than substance.

Now I go to 2-3 shows per year. At least one Webmaster Access, Internext Miami, and the other varies - usually Phoenix.

I'm retired from shows...last one I did I think was Las Vegas Internext in January of 2005 or something like that...

last big show i did was Vegas in jan 2004...i sure miss getting out to them..

I use to do alot of shows as well, but cut back on Vegas simply because it has lost its direction. now its phoenix - internext florida - webmaster east (though if they are moving it to newyork, not going anymore) - I love qwebec expo, but that is always a toss up to the head office for me.

Well, you have a new program to work at so it's understandable. Plus, I think your kids are mostly grown aren't they?

We used to hit 3 or 4 shows a year, but like Chris said, having kids changes things, in the last two years we have only been to one show. Hopefully we are going to hit the summer internext show in FLA. Would like to get back to going to maybe 2 or 3 a year.

I do some Euro ones as they are local (ish)!

A couple of years ago I think Dh did all the shows in a year, got travel burn out that year for sure.
We have cut back to a select few, but the ones we love to hit are Miami, Europe webmaster access, LA webmaster access, Phoneix forum and of course and TO shows.

I used to do 6-8 a year but am now down to 4. Strain on family and time out of office are the big reasons on cutting back. Also consolidating to the shows where I get business done. If I was alone, younger and with less responsibility, I'd like to go to one a month. I really enjoy seeing friends, business acquaintences and meeting new ones.

I started going again when we came out with the Porn Poker Tour but even then they are a strain... Thankfully we've got good crew and folks would rather see Scooter than my onery old ass. Doubt I ever do more than 4 a year anymore...
