So the only movie I watched the last 2 months turned out to be a really good one!

I used to watch between 4-6 movies each week.. But since about 90% of the ones I watched during 2007 was so bad - I took a 2 month break and simply stopped watching movies at all. Then the other night, I watched the first movie in 2 months and I think it was a good one.. a bit original and it had me in its grip from start to finish!

If you want to watch a good one, or if you are simply bored with all the hollywood bs movies that comes out - then check out this for a change..

Amores Perros!

Let me know what you think of it, if you watch it.. ;-)

Interesting synopsis.
Also noticed that it was nominated for best foreign language film at the 2001 Academy Awards.

What made you find that one?

I am always on the lookout for "odd", good, non hollywood movies.. But this one was pure luck.. Stumbled across it on cable just as it was going to play.. So for once, I found something good on cable.. ;-)

I'm not so sure about the subtitles. I'm not much for reading movies.

Cyndalie 08-28-2007 10:28 AM

Me either, I tried getting through The Lives of Others, but it took me about halfway through th emovie to realize it wasn't the subtitles ruining the movie so much, the flick was boring in itself. Pan's Labriynth was easier to get through b/c it was more visual of a story.
