Love it FunB! I've had a dog all my life, this past year is the first year I've spent dogless really. He passed away last summer, and I haven't been able to put it in my mind that I should maybe find another dog, in a shelter or something.

I have had dogs all my life too. I kept saying after this one dies, no more dogs for awhile. That's not going to last long.

It's hard to do it. But what's been different is that I've always had a puppy when my dog is old. Like someone comes up and says "I found this puppy" or "my dog had a litter, can you take one off my hands?" and stuff like that, so it's been a bit easier because as the older one passed away, the younger one was already deep in the family, if this makes any sense.

I love all animals, I'm a nature lover. Doesn't mean I'd have just anything as a pet, but I have to say that there is something special about a dog. And in today's world, having that unconditional love and trust from an animal that will do anything to protect you is nice. You can never fully trust another person, but you can always trust your dog.
