it's been crazy HOT!
 

last week was so so .. tons of rain in the last month, so I never bothered installing my AC. However the last two days have been crazy hot. So it's time to roll up the sleeves and install the AC ... Got any pointers ?

PS I also have a Portable AC, been using that for now.

Use plexiglas if you don't have "curtains" that come with it so you can have a perfect fit.

Been hot here too....

You can go to home depot or lowes and get either cellular blinds that do block out the sun and heat OR a thin sheet of clear protective film that coats the window blocking out the heat.

After this winter we all just had.. I say suck it up and enjoy all 60 days of it. LOL

The house I rent Doesn't have AC much to my dismay since I've lived in a house with AC all my life! Gladly I have the room in the Basement so it's cooler but soon as I go upstairs to grab something from the kitchen im sweating my balls off.

I may look into this protective film stuff. I was looking at getting one of those indoor standing AC units, anyone know if they're any good?

My parents use one of those freestanding ones on their patio in Florida to make it tolerable for guests. It does a decent job, like a fan on steroids.

The rain has cooled things down a bit, but thank god for A/C and the pool!
