Surgery on November 7th. :(

Hi guys...

I'm going to have a minor surgery on Nov. 7th, but I looked it up on the net and it doesn't look so minor to me... I have a pilonidal cyst and it is infected. I found some information on the net and it's gross!

I'm scared!

Has anyone ever had one removed?

Sophie.

I'd never even heard of this until your thread.
I hope things go well for you Sophie. Shouldn't be too much of a problem.

Best of luck to you Sophie, and remember...the doctors work for you,

so you say "I'm allergic to Codeine, do you have anyhttp//chubby-old-sex.com
Percodans"?

Mister E 10-23-2007 11:31 AM

I must be on Percodans (he wished out loud)

so you say "I'm allergic to Codeine, do you have any Percodans"?

I did some research and they say the best way for it to heal is NOT TO CLOSE the wound!!! Ouach!

I don't know if looking iot up on the net was a good idea!

Sophie.

I'm sorry to hear that Sophie...The best thing to do is to trust the doctors and make sure you're not alone after the surgery. Try not to read up on it...They know what they're doing you don't need the additional stress.

Bonne chance ma chérie je pense a toi!

Don't worry Sophie, Doctors no what they're doing, and before the surgery they will make sure you're as comfortable as can be, won't feel a thing while its happening and will wake up alot healthier then you were before. So Don't be scared you'll be fine hun<3

Remember We all love & care about you, & be sure to give us an update once you get home and get some rest.

I have never heard of that either, but good luck!

Good luck Sophie!

Unsure as to what kinda cyst that is, I had a benign cyst in my throat that I had removed when I was 15. but you say they leave your wound open?? Ouch, mine was stapled shut.

Thoughts will be with you

For those who don't know what it is. Sounds interesting, in a medical sense. I hope everything goes ok for you, and rememebr, they have anesthetic. Good luck, and get pictures, we can always make a site about stuff like this. Just kidding, take care.

Virgule3 10-24-2007 12:09 AM

I'm actually not scared of the intervention itself. It's the post op that I'm afraid of!

I hope this isn't what they will do to me!!!

Sophie.

Interesting set of pictures there.
Well it appears that you'll have a few weeks of discomfort, but then it will be behind you forever. I'm sorry for the pun there. ;)

Cyndalie 10-24-2007 01:54 PM

Ah, someone on the MP board went thought this not too long ago.

Hang in there honey, you'll be ok and get through it. It may not be pretty but you'll feel better in the long run and that's important. Good luck, hope all goes smoothly!

McKidd 10-24-2007 03:29 PM

Best of luck Sophie. Speedy recovery yeah!

Panky 10-24-2007 04:28 PM

All the best wishes to you Sophie!

On a side note... Isn't that what StuartD had operated on not too long ago?
