OK it's really cold

It's been about 10 days in a row where it hasn't even been close to -10 but one time.

I'm starting to look forward to some milder temperatures here! Even if it were to snow a little more! :cold2:

Visualad 01-11-2009 08:39 PM

Doesnt the killer cold make you appreciate the summer even more?

so.. the cold is a good thing.. right? ;-)

Panky 01-12-2009 12:00 AM

Tuesday it is supposed to warm up to -2. :)

Virgule3 01-12-2009 12:44 AM

I ski and I patrol on the slopes... it's so much fun! It was -20 most of the day today... :)

I don't mind winter too much. It's the extreme cold that gets to me sometimes though. I used to ski a lot too. When I was living in Europe I skiied in Germany, France, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland. Mostly in Germany and Austria.

The thing is, you can ski those places and it's not -25 at the top of the mountain like it is here.
We skiied the glacier at Saas-Fee in late August one time and we were dressed in light ski pants and a sweat-shirt. :)

Woah! It supposed to be in the teens this week.
Dammit heating oil is expensive! I hate this time of year.

I heard an old Native American saying once that went something like, if we didn't have bad times we wouldn't be able to know what good times are.

Jimmidean 01-15-2009 08:29 AM

-37 here with the wind chill.

Evil Chris 01-15-2009 08:45 AM

It's colder here this morning compared to the same time yesterday morning.

Doesn't feel like it though because there's no wind. Standing out at the bus-stop with the kids this morning was chilly!

bluemoney 01-15-2009 08:50 AM

Fuck the cold! JMHO

Crak_JMan 01-15-2009 10:50 AM

Dress Warm et Voila... I wear my snow pants if I have to run to the store or something.

I also have my furry hat with ears so all good ;-)

Ronaldo 01-15-2009 11:09 AM

Don't knock it till you try it. Prairie men like variety. Want something with a smooth shave? Prairie women are for you. In the mood for hirsute? That's when we go trolling for sheep.

Thank god a left that frozen hell couple of years ago... NEVER again I will go live there.

Ronaldo, know anyone interested in buying 161 acres with 1/2 mile beach front on lake Manitoba. The property I own is in Oak Point.

Canadians are really friendly nice peeps, nice clean country.... Sorry, but your weather sucks donkey balls.

Panky 01-16-2009 03:21 PM

There's an end in sight! It looks like the Montreal area will only have a few more days of the bitter cold and then the temp begins to rise during the week.

dyonisus 01-16-2009 05:52 PM

I do not miss those ice cold canadian winters. I hear parts of downtown Toronto are in a black out. Man what a chilly night that will be!

Rochard 01-17-2009 05:20 PM

It's 62 out this afternoon. I'm gong to wash my car.

Funbrunette 01-18-2009 03:01 PM

The gods are smiling upon us, it's much milder today. I didn't have to start my car 30 min in advance before driving. I'm seeing a light at the end of this winter tunnel.

Cold_ice 01-19-2009 03:08 AM

Everyone needs to move to Cali we been having some great weather out here.

lazzlo 01-19-2009 05:23 AM

Im going ice fishing tommorow! i love cold!

Gruntled 01-19-2009 09:12 AM

I'm a whiney pussy american... I think the coldest it's been in 10 years was +20F. and everyone was bundled up, complaining about the "extreme cold"! Of course, two days later it was back up to the 50's F, and you could go out in jeans and a tee...
