Newton's here in BC all the time now. ;-)

Ant might be up ,Leedsfan loves a game...

Loads of people in the area always up for a game :)

Evil Chris 03-09-2006 03:28 PM

I'm also a golf addict.
My goal this season is to break 90... twice. (or more of course)
That way, only doing it once won't be considered a fluke.

Collections? I have a small but valuable currency collection, and also a huge collection of hockey cards but I haven't contributed much to either one in some time.

Chris ,

I believe I should be taking your money , errr I mean giving you a game next month.

Nickatilynx 03-09-2006 03:35 PM

Furry Creek is one of the craziest courses ever...an virtual island green at 14 I think and a par 5 that if you hit 2 decent shots you are only 80 yds from the green but it is about 90 foot above you over a chasm...

Bhelliom 03-09-2006 03:38 PM

I've heard that.... And I saw parts of it on my way past up the mountain. Looks like it'll be fun.... expensive for lost balls since i suck at golf... but you know... I'm in it for the beer anyways

MorganGrayson 03-09-2006 03:41 PM

My Jack Higgings book collection occupies top center spot of the brand new bookcases. (I decided that was the place of honor.) They're neither first editions nor hardback for the most part, because I'm a *reader* not one of those people who...well, those other people. (There are book collectors who will look you straight in the eye and tell you the worst thing you can do to a book is actually read it. I think those people should be slapped hard.)

I finally got my salt and pepper shaker collection out of boxes and into a glass fronted cabinet. The collection was started by my grandmother, who managed to pick up quite a few of the "classics" in her travels. (I have a book, and got to say "hey! I've got that!" about a set on the cover.)

Hobbies? I read. I write. I stare at my over-pruned roses and groan a lot. (I don't know a damned thing about roses, but I'm hoping to learn. I hope I don't have to start learning by replacing the 6 bushes I may have killed.)

Bhelliom 03-09-2006 03:43 PM

Hey good morning Morgan.... how is your new place anyways?

Will we have time to get out there? I ask only because the boys will be in daycare that day.

Good morning, darling. :)

It is coming along nicely. :)

I started some sunflower seeds for the corner of the back yard, and they are all nice little green baby plants now. Slowly, slowly, we are unpacking all those damned boxes...except for the damned boxes we're going to leave packed and "in storage."

I'm enjoying cooking in my new kitchen and slowly getting the hang of the gas stove. I was afraid of it at first, having seen way too many action films where the little pipe in the back was used to blow up the entire house. The guy from the gas company laughed and mentioned specific movies he'd seen. He said "that would NEVER happen!" about all the same scenes my husband had.

I've turned out some most palatable meals on the thing.

I also found out that for over a quarter of a century my husband had been hiding an issue with sage. You'd really think the man would have spoken up by now. Harumph.

That reminds me...did I leave my shovel over there? :D

Anthony 03-09-2006 04:19 PM

Well, to get back on track, I'm a huge gun fanatic.

I own about 15 guns/rifles/shotgun and enjoy shooting them.

At the end of the day, all you need is one rifle, one shotgun, and a glock.

Rifle - AK-47
Shotgun - Remington 870
handgun - GLOCK

My choices, wish I thought about this, before I went and spent like 30 grand on guns.

Newton 03-09-2006 04:20 PM

Golf and lots of it. When my driver arrives there will be lots of tears and swearing lol

TondaB 03-09-2006 04:54 PM

I use to collect beanie babies. I have about 400 packed away. Not exactly sure what I am going to do with them, but I am not ready to get rid of them.

Now I am into getting rid of stuff instead of collecting. I have entirely to much junk as it is!!!

I am trying to get into scrapbooking, however, I am having trouble finding the time:)

Nickatilynx 03-09-2006 04:55 PM

I think PK used to collect beanie babies too didn't she?

I'm thinking Ebay ;)

Panky 03-09-2006 04:56 PM

I seem to be collecting stray cats lately. I took pity on one and brought him in. Word got around and now others are starting to appear at my door.

I have a collection of books and lots of Pink Floyd albums and laser discs. I still have all my Dr. Seuss books from when I was a kid. That is one collection of books I won't part with.

As for hobbies, I like to read and do arts & crafts type projects. I really enjoy baking, but with just two of us, I don't do it much. When the winter ends, I like to bike ride or go for walks.

I didn't collect Beanie Babies, but I do have a collection of Precious Moments and Smurf figurines that are like 20 years old. I really don't know why I kept them or what I'll do with them though.

MorganGrayson 03-09-2006 05:15 PM

TondaB!!! http://www.porn-sex-adult-xxx.com/smilies/wavey.gif
How's one of my all time favorite humans? :)
If those Beanie Babies are in great condition, with the tags attached, you can indeed open a store on eBay. I only have a few of them that were gifts, and I'm keeping them. Eventually, my husband is going to put shelving in the top of our bedroom closet so that I can finally display my stuffed animals (well, to myself, anyway) and keep the dust off of them.

Panky...are you familiar with "The Mark of St. Francis"? The legend says it's a mark on your forehead that only animals can see, that tells them you will care for them. Personally, I've always thought it said "sucker!" I know I have it, as a cursury glance around my living room will tell you. :)

TondaB again...I SO want to get into scrapbooking, but I'm short on both time and investment capital. That can be one expensive little hobby if you let it. :)
